I should have included a picture. Here he is as Ronnie Shyvers (great name!) in an episode of Minder in 1984 - possibly his last TV appearance to date.

I always enjoyed his performances. You'd often see him on TV as a villain or detective and then he seemed to disappear. His credits on IMDb.com suggest he stopped working around 1984, though of course he could have acted in the theatre for some time afterwards.
I note he appeared in a documentary about Donald Cammell (Performance etc.) in 1998 and might be the Stanley Meadows who is narrating the recently completed The Life, Death & Suffer Story (2010).
I hope he is still around, anyway. Anybody heard of him recently?

Great actor who has appeared in many of my favourite TV series, such as The Sweeney, The Persuaders!, The Saint and The Avengers. He was excellent as George Roden in an episode of Randall & Hopkirk (Deceased) called Could You Recognise The Man Again?
I haven't heard anything from him for a long time but as far as I know he's still around.

Here's the Donald Cammell documentary, with Stanley at 2m 30s briefly
explaining why he didn't want to show his all
He wad good in The Ipcress File, too.
Excellent! Good to see Johnny Shannon, too, another actor much seen on TV.
