Default Johnny Bindon-London Thug or Cultivated Thespian

Cheers! johnny nova here bracing for another Massachuttes,USA winter. Cold, dark and very depressing. Thank God for English beer and movies! Does anyone know of an actor named John Bindon?? I first came across him in a Led Zepplin bio! I know he's been in Quadrophenia and Get Carter but I cannot find any pictures. Was he featured in the promo shots done of Quadrophenia, specifically in the soundtrack folio?? Thanx

Hi,
If you go to this link & click on "production stills", John Bindon is in the top left photo.

Cant open the link, but I imagine it mentions him doing his party trick of balancing a pint on his erect penis in front of Princess Margeret.

Where do they get these stories from?

I've corrected the link to screenonline in the earlier message.

Oddly enough they don't mention that story. Where did you see it? You haven't been believing any of the stories in the newspapers have you? 90% of them are made up.

If you go to www.findadeath.com (fantastic site for finding out about dead celebrities and how they died) and look up Princess Margaret in the directory it mentions her friendship with Bindon (I think through Roddy Lllewellyn).

In questionable taste, but after all, we all very nosey anyway!

Yes, but they are quoting from Kitty Kelly's book on the Royals which is mainly fantasy.
Just because a couple of web sites (or newspapers) report something doesn't make it true.

Then there's the story that the said royal induced Peter Sellers's first and almost fatal heart attack during ..ahem.. rigorous exercise!

I hope it's true.

I also hope it's true you can't libel the dead!

Yes - I admit it was from Kitty Kelly's book, but it's a brilliant story and she did actually know Bindon

There's a tv film coming up on the life of Princess Margaret. Includes a scrap in pub scene.

I hope it is true this story. It all apparrently happened in her house on Mustique - Margaret was such a reprobate and you can imagine all sorts of goings on there
