Default Fred Griffiths
Anyone remember this chap? I know nothing about him except he was a cockney and used to appear seeemingly in almost every Ealing and other British studio films of the 50s and 60s. He was the fruit seller who had a run-in with Frankie Howerd's taxi in "The Ladykillers". I saw him again the other day in "Dunkirk" and he had two lines (is this a record as he usually only spoke one and even those were fairly short and pithy). I would be interested to know more about him.

Fred Griffiths had loads of "bit" parts, mostly as taxi drivers but my favourite was his part in Im Alright Jack,a truely great film with many great British actors.

Yes I remember him, always rude; ill-mannered and rarely smiled - perhaps he was miscast because of his physiognomy though!

However, did anyone see old Clunes in 'Goodbye Mr Chips'? I missed this when first shown, but I'm ready to watch it again. What a first rate film and a terrible comment of the wastage of young life in WWI!
