Has anyone else noticed that quite a lot of British actors are appearing in U.S. film and tv. I have just finished watching the prime time series Flashforward , 5 of the 10 main characters, including the top billed star are British (Isles) actors - Joseph Fiennes, Jack Davenport, Dominic Monaghan, Brian F. O'Byrne and Sonya Walger plus 3 prominent minor characters are played by Brits too - Alex Kingston, Neil Jackson and James Callis.

'Twas ever thus. There used to be a large colony of British actors living and working in Hollywood. As TV has risen in popularity many British actors now appear in American TV shows as well as films. Some live in the US, some just fly in, do the job and fly home again.

Check a series like The Wire and count the Brits in leading roles in that

Mind you, it's not all one way traffic, a lot of Americans can be seen in British TV shows and films as well.
We live in a global village
