Bit of a wunderkind of the theatre, he began acting in 1946 in the Whitehall Farces of Brian Rix ... !
He became a playwrite... he wrote the screenplay for.. What a Carve Up... the 1961 comedy film.
He wrote farces like... Not Now Darling... a theatrical success which also became a movie in 1973 with
Moira Lister, Leslie Phillips and of course Ray himself acting in it.

In another world and time, Ray might have got involved in the Carry On movies.... he might just have
extended their lease of life ! but it was nt to be.

Ray is getting on a bit now ( 80 next birthday ) but he's been a busy bee, he can look back over
a fabulous career in TV, Movies and the Theatre..........
    (not to mention the OBE)
    Well done Ray !
