While watching Sleeping Tiger last night[Dirk Bogarde} During the hold up in the managers office, I noticed a very young Billie Whitelaw as the secretary, had to look twice to see if it really was her.

Those pictures of Billie Whitelaw are lovely. I think she is a brilliant actress, and have seen her play everything from sexy to sinister. She can change appearance and accent to suit any character so efficiently that I have sometimes had to check the cast list to make sure it was her - and that is what really good acting is all about, in my opinion.

Apparently she retired from acting a few years ago, but her son encouraged her to accept a part in "Hot Fuzz".

She used to live in Datchet I think. Not sure if she still does.
