Lovely to see EJ on channel 5 this pm where in the 1970s Hound of the Baskervilles his Barrymore outshone the rest of the cast for subtle shading (contradiction in terms?) paired with Eleanor Bron as Mrs B. I wonder what became of the original hope that we could pass a message of goodwill to him at his current residence? It seems that someone does know where this is, but did we come to the view that he would like to be left alone? Apologies if this has been already been covered...

I was talking to Bruce Beeby 18 months ago (sorry no more recent) and he did not know of Eddie Judd's passing. He also lives in the Wimbledon area and was a friend of Mr Judd. He did tell me that Eddie was not in a good state.

I read somewhere that Eddie was married to actress Norma Ronald. Is she still alive? I have a signed photo from Mr Judd which Norma sent (she put a message on the back apologising for the long delay) but that was back in the late 1960s.

I hope we can solve this mystery.

I've recently joined this community, after locating the site during my search online for info regarding Edward Judd. I thought he notched up some good performances during his 1960's heyday and I was really very sad to hear of his subsequent decline. I now realise he was indeed sitting on the next table to me in a very modest Wimbledon cafe in April 1992. At the time I felt sure it was him, but i just didn't have the guts to make conversation. I guess I didn't want to bother him; he looked tired and somewhat lost. I wish him well.

After following this thread on and off for over two years I'v come to the conclusion that somewhere there is a quiet tearoom with three men at the same table looking at each other with discerning gazes. Edward Judd, Lord Lucan and Martin Borman.

As I reported last year, there is no longer any mystery.

Mr Judd's death was wrongly reported by Equity and this was repeated on a DVD sleeve printed by DD Video. He was in fact still alive at the time.

When I posted last June I not only knew he was alive but also knew of his whereabouts.

Edward Judd's full name is Edward Henry Judd, he married actress Gene Anderson on 9th November 1957. Gene sadly died on the 5th May 1965.

Edward Judd was also famous for his tv campaign for motorcycle safety:Think Once,Think Twice,Think Bike. The latest one,when a driver pulls out and the next thing you know a motorbike and its rider hits the side of him . If that doesn't work,nothing will.

Edward Judd is definitely alive and living in a retirement home in Mitcham. My husband's mother is in the same home and my husband spoke to him last week on 5th Dec 2007
