He appeared as the Butler Barrymore in a TV production of Sherlock Holmes, can't remember the date - quite some years back wearing a beard, perhaps a prop?

Well when your husband goes to see his mother again can you ask him to tell Mr Judd we've all been asking after him. If nothing else I'm sure it will cheer him up to know all these people have him in thier thoughts'

Sorry to be so sceptical, but these sightings of Edward Judd in various un-named London nursing homes, are almost as numerous as those of Lord Lucan. Remember the sister of the carer of Edward Judd some months back?

To put an end to the speculation coudn't "booer" go with her husband to visit his mother and verify it once and for all ?.

Default Edward Judd

I only ever seem to have seen Edward Judd appear in science fiction films of the 60s.

First Men in the Moon
The Invasion
The Day the Earth Caught Fire

I also saw him in an old TV science fiction series on Video (Out of the Unknown?)

I just wondered why he only seems to have appeared in this type of film. Was he being typecast? Was he involved in production? Could it even just say something about the type of films I have seen?

Thanks

I posted this on 18/01/2005. Last night sat down and watched a great copy of "MYSTERY SUBMARINE". Edward Judd in leather trousers and wig. Well worth the wait it was just the best.

Good film. However the best and the one he'll be remembered for is "The Day the Earth caught Fire." An absolute classic. Tight cynical writing and excellent acting. It's a pity a few years on from the start of this thread, we're still not any further foward. Ah well, wherever you are EJ, I wish you all the best....

I always liked Edward, particularly in the Thriller episode Sign It Death. He had sadness in his life when his wife died in the 1960s and I also read, not long ago, that he was in a retirement home. All very sad. But I like to think of him when he was a regular face on TV and, for my generation at least, surely his 'Think Bike' public information film from 1975 is his most memorable legacy.
