David Andrew O'Hara

I have just been mesmersised by the outstanding performance of David Andrew O'Hara as the tough, mean and moody DCC Stephen Blackdon in the just screened TV series The Commander III. I find it difficult to believe he has been in so many films and TV series without gaining stardom. The last scene opposite Amanda Burton, was top class award winning stuff. (I never thought I would ever say this, but she wasn't half bad either).

I have to say that I agree with you. For somebody with fairly immobile features (a la Dana Andrews) his acting was top notch. I really enjoyed him as an ex-Belfast copper in the US series "The District" which was relegated to the late, late night slot on Granada whilst the ordure of makeovers/soaps/celebrity willneverbees and other selections of 'chewing gum for the eyes' is shovelled into the prime viewing slots for your delection and viewing pleasure.
