I loved her in Robin's Nest and as the timid lady for whom butter wouldn't melt in her mouth..... allegedly..... in her episode of Return Of The Saint.

Here are scans of two 35mm clippings of Tessa Wyatt in the film THE BEAST IN THE CELLAR from when I ran the film at the Plaza in February, 1972. After over 40 years, the Eastman Colour, which looked lovely at the time, has now inevitably faded to red. However, those of you with PhotoShop will be able to copy these images and bring the right colours back into them. The reason that Eastman Colour fades to red after so many years is that the yellow in the emulsion practically fades away. It can be restored as far as movie films are concerned, but it's very expensive. These frames are still clear, though, and may look better in black and white. The film was the lower half of a double bill with BLOOD ON SATAN'S CLAW.

Mrs cassidy used to work with Tessa Wyatt in a shop in Beauchamp Place London, she came in one day saying that she was going out with a radio dj and left soon afterwards.

One of the great English girls of the 20th century.
Sat next to her sister at a tennis tournament way back and, apparently, Tessa was a very good player in her youth.
Here are some screencaps of Tessa Wyatt as Anna in the episode Vicious Circle (1979) from the classic Action Adventure series Return Of The Saint.

Far from perfect, but better. Looks better still when reduced in size.

Hey, that's pretty good, icetorch. Her blue uniform hasn't come out too well, but it's far better than my faded to red clippings. If they'd shot the film in Technicolor, the colour would not have faded. I've got Technicolor clippings from forty to fifty years ago and they still look the same as they did when they were new.

Nothing to do with Tessa, but by way of contrast to the faded Eastman Colour clippings above, here is a 42 years old 35mm Technicolor clipping of Kim Darby in True Grit, which I ran at the Plaza in June, 1970. No fading whatsoever.
