Watching Robbery Under Arms,today,I noticed Vince Ball was in it,playing Maureen Swanson's brother. A favourite in many a British film - the pilot in Where Eagles Dare - and then finding work in his native Australia,when film and television production were finding their legs.

Funny enough noticed him in Sea of Sand the other day. One of the main roles in that.

I'm a Big W.E.D. fan - so know him well from that. A smaller role - but a great part in a classic film.

Saw him also in the excellent Anzacs series.

Not to mention John and Julie and carry on cruising and oh what a lovely war!

He was in one of my favourite Jimmy Sangster scripted horrors "Blood of the Vampire" but I first remember him introducing "Robin Hood" on Sunday afternnons on the early days of ITV back in the 50's.
