Smile Fantasy Film Christmas lunch

Tis the season to be jolly....who'd be your fantasy christmas lunch guests...

Here's mine

Alistair Sim - as Scrooge after the ghosts
John Mills - in any of his plucky little englander roles
Kenneth More - would make the party go with a bang as Ambrose Claverhouse
James Robertson Justice - Sir Lancelot Spratt
Ian Carmichael - Stanley Windrush an innocent abroad
Terry-Thomas – as Major Hitchcock – a bit of a cad with an eye for the ladies

and the ladies….

Margaret Lockwood – as the wicked lady
Liz Fraser – as Cynthia Kite, her big….eyes and innocence
Hazel Court – just something about her as Julia Chester-Barrett in Bond Street
Phyllis Calvert – Maddalena Labardi, Madonna of the Seven Moons springs to mind
Margaret Rutherford – pure joy any role

Traditional dinner - Turkey and trimmings, christmas pud. Afterward, the chaps retire for brandies while the ladies wash up

Well its my fantasy

....whats yours - steady!!

I don't think I really need to answer this one, do I?

It would involve a candlelit dinner for two - though tea and ice cream was almost as good!

For no other reason than that they are my favourites and would provide interesting conversation over lunch ...

Max/Stanley Baker/Patricia Roc/Susan Shaw/Eric Portman/Alastair Sim/Margaret Rutherford

Unexpected guest - Joan Collins (just for some late afternoon fireworks!)

Bats.

"Aha Mr Aubergine ... that's where you're wrong!"

Great choice of raconteurs Windthrop ,I would obviously have to invite them round on Boxing day as they would be round at your place on xmas day .

I would also have to get a bigger table as I would love to invite , Frankie Howerd , Hayley Mills the delightful Kristin Scott Thomas ,Margaret Rutherford the wonderfully eccentric Stephen Fry and the ever so suave Patrick Stewart
Nearly forgot Alaistair Sim

I May be getting older ,but I refuse to grow up
