She was certainly a classy lady, cully.

That's a great photo of Susan and Valerie. I feel sorry for the little, dumpy lady in the background, she didn't stand a chance, did she

Susan was probably the natural successor to Pat Roc in British films, I suppose.

I appreciate all the links to pics, etc; but are there any pics around of Susan in the 1960's just before she gave up acting?

I may have mentioned this before, but in the late fifties or early sixties she 'wrote' a sensationalised account of her life for the News of the World. I'd be interested to read that again.

Cheers for the pic Bats, Susan looks much more mature there, I probably wouldn't have recognised her.

Bonar and Susan's son, Mark, turns up regularly on G.O.L.D in the the 'Only Fools And Horses' episode where Del Boy goes hang gliding.

He's the young man who arranges his flight.

Cheers Huggett, I vaguely remember the episode, though I've not seen it for a while, so many episodes of F & H's!.............I also recall Mark in several episodes of the Soap Crossroads, he certainly inherited his Father's good looks.

I thought I remembered his name from somewhere! Mark Colleano was the star of a TV series called Mystery Hall as a child in 1967. When I discovered this obsure show a few months ago, in TVTimes of that period, I noticed that IMDB didn't have any cast details - this was the very first programme that I updated there. Co-stars included Alan Wheatley (the Sheriff of Nottingham in ITC series The Adventures of Robin Hood) and Hilary Mason, the blind psychic in Don't Look Now.

The only appearance I have of Mark's is in The Zoo Gang (NOT in Justice, unfortunately ), while Carry On Nurse is all I have of his mother's work ... unfortunately. Interesting to see Susan appeared in both Train of Events and Chain of Events.

When you understand the past, the confusion of the present becomes clearer - John Betjeman.

I saw Susan in her third film appearance this week, she had a small role as a student in James Mason's. The Upturned Glass. (1947)

This is an unusual (for her) studio portrait of our girl ....
