Default Actor's name please.....

Hi everyone, having mentioned 'The Good life' on another thread, I'm intrigued to learn the name of one of the Actor's who appeared in an episode of this great sit-com.
The episode I'm referring too is the one where Margo and Gerry are having something erected in their rear Garden, the Actor I'm thinking of belittles his young assistant who is trying to help, saying something along the lines of "you're not old enough to do erections, when you're old enough then you'll have erections"!, then later Margo leaves a note on his pick-axe saying 'N.B' to which says something like "I don't do Latin, I'm from Balham. etc; etc;.......it is a fait accompli", to which Margo replys "ah, so we know French in Balham, but not Latin"!!

He has a distinctive voice also, I saw him in a 50's Movie a while back so I'm interested to know who he is!

He is one of those familiar faces who seems to have been around for ever - he pops up in the original film version of Nicholas Nickleby ( the Derek Bond 1947 version ) and doesn't really seem to have aged a lot in the years since. He's also in the most recent Harry Potter film. He does have a very distinctive voice - he voices one of the animated characters in Labyrinthe and as soon as I heard it I knew it was him. Shame he and Michael Gough aren't household names or they might be doing voiceovers for Tesco ads! ( and we would be spared Bob Hoskins' 'every liul 'elps' )

Timothy Bateson was in an episode of The Bill years ago,as an old safe cracker who injured himself doing a job and lamented with one of the bobbies about the good old days of crime. I think his character died at the end of the episode. Again,a fine character actor the big stars would be lost without.

Timothy Bateson - another one who is nearly 82 and still working.

I'm not sure that his voice was particularly recognisable as 'Kreacher' in Harry Potter & The Order Of The Phoenix - but now I know that it's him, I may recognise it the next time I watch it!

Does anybody remember him doing an OXO advert with Liz Smith (I think) a few years back? It was very funny; they were an old couple having dinner when she suddenly announces she's pregnant!
