Default Clerihews

Got an idea for a new thread based on the compact biographical humerous verse form the Clerihew. See Wikipedia entry for more info on the verse form Clerihew - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Just for starters here one on Maxwell Reed

Maxwell Reed
Ended up in Need.
When he'd had his day,
He drank it all away.

Thats the joke that killed the Music Hall !

Oliver Reed
His thirst he'd feed
When he was about to comeback
He went and had a heart attack

Surveyed his Kingdom.

Then did a pratt fall.

I wouldn't serve Michael Winner
To my dog for his dinner.
A most unpleasant chap
And all his films are crap.

. . . and new thumbscrews for me . . .

Watching her and Coral Browne.

He might be a really nice chap
But in his films he is so crap

A couple more ...

John Mills
Took some pills
Might be an explanation
For how he outlived his generation

Michael Powell
Threw in the towel
Some didn't like his nasty thriller
About a pervy psycho killer

... I also thought of one about Patricia Roc, but I'll keep it to myself

Possibly similar to mine about Martita Hunt.

David Niven
Ran down the stairway to Heaven.
He'd have sat quite still
If they'd told him he'd end up in Prudence And The Pill

. . . and new thumbscrews for me . . .

Some more ...

Susan Shaw
Died very poor
The love of her life got himself killed
And left her life unfulfilled

Transformers
Are very noisy performers
Let's hope Megatron doesn't get the hots
For the leader of the Autobots

I think he's mega
Although he could never succeed
A talent like Maxwell Reed

Start every day with a smile and get it over with.

He was such a clown
When his trousers fell down.

Dennis Price
Had a poor throw of the dice.
It all began to fail
Because of blackmail.
