Find a Grave is probably about the best. It does have quite a few entries about British people. You just have to hunt around for them a bit. There are 3,825 graves in England listed on the site. When you've finished with those you can search Scotland, Wales and maybe even Ireland

As Steve says 'Findagrave' is your best bet, for actors the 'famous name' search tends to whittle things down a bit, I like to visit the Graves of Actors (and Singers) that I'm a Fan of, such as Kay Kendall who has a beautiful Jade Headstone, who coincidentaly is opposite Anton Walbrook and Joan Collins Mother.....

James Mason's ashes were locked in a bank-vault by his wife for well over 15 years. They were eventually released and scattered.

Anton Walbrook's grave still has flowers put on it regularly by someone (maybe more than one someone)

Default Michael Rennie

Michael Rennie's ashes are buried in Harrogate, Yorkshire. A few years back I actually spoke to the person who had to place the ashes in the family tomb. Apparently they were lowered down on the end of some string, and fell away with a few feet to go!

Eric Portman was cremated, there is a headstone in the graveyard of the Parish Church at St Veep- Cornwall ( Saint something.I imagine...its a very small place so there would only be one).......I've no idea if the ashes are nearby.............perhaps they were returned to Halifax........or maybe he was released to fly freely in the wind. There's a photo. of the headstone on Steve's Powell and Pressburger Site. There is also a plaque at St. Paul's Covent Garden

I have to settle for Torin's cyber grave at Find A Grave. I have no idea as to the whereabouts of his remains, I probably never will.

RIP Torin.

Do not go where the path may lead; go instead where there is no path and leave a trail.

Are there any in particular that you are looking for?

If so, I'm sure we can help you on this forum.

HI.

Find a grave is very good for finding out more info about the LIVES of people and for leaving a memorial message. But I was left pretty sad after seeing the graves of a couple of actors who`s personalities have become pretty dear to me.

Ahh well, I hope they are having a ball wherever they are now!

xx

We`re changin` lodggggggggings!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
