Cool Most arrogant star?

This should get some interesting replies hopefully - who is the most arrogant star you have met/worked with and why?

I don't think you'll get as many replies as you hope ..... like many others, I have met a few over the years, but I prefer to keep the names to myself. I would rather talk about the nice people I have met.

I think that Kirk Douglas once said that being a film star was pretty much the most narciistic thing a person could do !

That would be my answer too. I've met quite a few, and they've all been very nice.

Maybe we just bring out the niceness in people

Steve

It reminds me of that line in the dire Big Sleep remake ...

"I'm nice to be nice to, but not nice, not to be nice to."

I've neither met or worked with him but from all other accounts I've come across, Rex Harrison would take some beating in the arrogance / ego centricity stakes...

The only worthwhile thing to come out of the Harrison household are the beautiful but fragile vocals of son Noel in the song ' the windmills of your mind'.

Other than that I heard that Meg Ryan was an utter pig to work with.

Of course one mustn't dwell on negativity.

But a bit of gossip is fun

We could list the ones who put themselves down like Victor Mature when told by a certain snob establishment that 'we do not allow actors in here' replied 'I am not an actor and I have 250 films to prove it'!
And the well known quote by Groucho Marks when refused membership of a swank golf club replied 'I do not want to join any club who will have me as a member!

'You should be kind to us normals, there are not many of us left you know'!

I heard on Radio 5Live that someone once met the singer Seal while working in a shop. Seal asked for the shop to be closed while he took a look around so he wouldn't be bothered.

When it was pointed out to him that no one knew who he was and he wasn't being bothered - he went ballistic

Jimmy Tarbuck still seems under the illusion that he is one of this countries 'great entertainers' despite being absent from our screens for the last 20 years. That's arrogance. The fool talks himself up at every opportunity despite the public's apathy towards him.

Thats the joke that killed the Music Hall !
