Default Name of actress please
this actress bears a slight resemblance to Sheila Hancock (I think) the only thing I can name her being in is Eastenders where she played Steve Owens (Martin Kemp) mother. Can anyone name her please. She was also in a very strange short many years ago where a boy went home to his girlfriends and they all ate fish like birds swallowing them down whole! she was the mother in that.

It really was Sheila Hancock in Eastenders. She memorably snogged Martin Kemp.

Whoops ! yes you're right. So who IS the actress that looks a bit like her ??!!! can't think of the name of anything she has been in , its so annoying.

I've always though Sian Phillips looks rather like Sheila.

Sian Phillips although not what I think of beautiful was described some years ago as having the most fantastic bone structure, where Sheila wasnt pretty, remember she got a nose job and not a very good one, nice woman though.

There is an actress who bears a resemblance to Sheila Hancock, I can see her face but I can't put a name to her, I can recall her in one of Joan Hicksons Miss Marple episodes, she shares a house with Joan Sims character, unfortunately 'Joan' is murdered as she puts the washing on the line, her housemate is traumatised afterwards....

here's a link to the episode of Miss Marple I'm thinking of.......

thanks for all the ideas but I don't think any of the suggestions are right. This woman has more sort of hawkish features. but does bear a resemblance to the Lady Pat woman.

Have you any more info about the actress you are seeking Mr. Bench?........could it be Jean Boht wwho played Ma Boswell in the sit-com 'Bread'?........or maybe Richenda Carey of whom I asked about a few weeks ago?

No not her either. I just can't think of what I HAVE SEEN HER IN OTHER THAN A WEIRD SHORT WHERE SHE ATE WHOLE RAW FISH ! i'M DESPERATELY TRYING TO FIND HER, THIS IS DOING MY HEAD IN NOW. Oh and its Miss Benchcluttocks
