Default Glyn Houston

I can't say I can get enthusiatic about something called the Welsh Baftas but it was nice to 81 year old Glyn Houston getting a well-deserved honour.

Glyn Houston

No, he wasn't in Emergency Ward 10, certainly not as a regular

He's been a familiar face in films and TV since the 1950s but not in Emergency Ward 1O. But his brother Donald did play a medico in Doctor in the House.

One of the oddest films Glyn Houston appeared in was the Welsh comedy "Girdle of Gold" (1952) in which a man stashes his life savings in his wife's corsets! I've not seen this for many a year but it struck me at the time as an imaginative and slightly daring storyline for the early 50s.

I loved Glyn. His brother Donald was the heartthrob but I rather preferred the Glyn type!

Default glyn houston

Glyn's finest hour was in Dennis Potter's WHERE THE BUFFULO ROAM.
Very good as a Probation officer. Also added some weight to a lack lustre Dr Who story called THE AWAKENING.

Good actor!
