Default Terry Duggan RIP

I've just read that actor and comedian, Terry Duggan died on 1st May after a long illness.
Terry was, of course, actress Anna Karen's husband and they were both in On The Buses.

Thanks for the photo Dame, sadly wouldn't have recognised the name otherwise.

RIP Terry

Really sorry to hear this. I met Terry and Anna when I was a nipper - they were both very nice and very patient with a fascinated lad who had grown up with On The Buses on the box...

Rest In Peace, Terry.

Respect.

The obituary said he died from 'illness' - can anybody elaborate?

On another thread (probably "On The Buses"), somebody mentioned that he was in a wheelchair.
I read that he had died 'after a long illness' - that's all I can find at the moment.

In obituary-speak, 'after a long illness' usually means cancer, while 'after a short illness' means pneumonia.

A couple of euphamisms which have fallen into disuse are 'he never married' or 'he was a confirmed batchelor', both of which were code for gay.
