Bruce Lister, who acted in a number of British films before moving to Hollywood in the late 1930s (changing his name to Bruce Lester in the process) has died at 96. This from the LA Times:

LISTER, Bruce Somerset Passed away June 13, 2008, at the age of 96. Born June 6th, 1912 in Johannesburg, South Africa to British parents. He was educated at Brighton College, England. He came to Hollywood, California in 1938 under contract to Warner Brothers' studios. He enjoyed a career as an actor, screenwriter and then became a story analyst for many years at Paramount and Columbia studios, until his retirement. He served in the Army in WWII. He was an avid golfer and tennis player. Survived by his beloved wife, Jane. Memorial services will be held at Pierce Brothers Westwood Memorial Park, Wednesday, June 18, 2008 at 2:00 p.m.
