Default Evelyn Keyes RIP

Probably best known for her colourful personal life and a small part in Gone With the Wind, but she did make a couple of British films, notably A Rough Shoot.

A beautiful actress, fondly remembered as Suellen in 'Gone with the wind'. I enjoyed reading her racy autobiography 'Scarlett O'Hara's younger sister' - thre is a nice pic of her inside wearing a bikini - very yummy.

I enjoyed it too, it is one of the better 'star' autobiographies.

I can't vouch for her faux British accent but she was otherwise terrific as a foxy servent girl in the much-underappreciated Ladies In Retirement with Ida Lupino and Louis Hayward. A movie I highly recommend but suspect is rather hard-to-find.

Very true, one of my favourite books along with 'Veronica' by Veronica Lake (another babe) and 'Will there really be a morning' by the tragic Frances Farmer. So many interesting books - 'I'm not ashamed' by Barbara Payton (another once lovely actress) and 'Jinx' by Jinx Falkenburg. I wish there was a book on/by Elyse Knox - she was another beauty.

I have been watching Jinx Falkenburg recently in The Lone Ranger Rides Again. I didn't know she had written a book, I will have to track that one down. The Payton book is so tragic, she didn't do herself any favours but Tom Neal was the worst person she could have hooked up with at that time.

I was sad to hear of her passing. I remembered her as Suellen in Gone with the Wind and thought she was good. Another beautiful actress gone - RIP.

She did? I can't find this. I looked because you might have thought I was lying about the film that was on at 1pm today. I was telling the truth.

The character played by Evelyn in THE JOLSON STORY was called Julie Benson and was a thinly disguised portrait of Ruby, who wouldn't let her name be used.

One of my favourite unheralded performances.
