Those who, like me, could listen to Jenny read the telephone directory, might like to know that she is on the digital radio station OneWord over the next four weeks reading Hidden Talents - 5.30am, 1.30pm and 9.30pm, each weekday from tomorrow.

The lovely Miss Agutter and Mr Smooth himself, Omar Sharif, have delightful cameos in The Parole Officer on BBC1 at 10.30 this evening. I rather suspect I shall be watching it.

In the GBH thread I mentioned serendipitous moments with regard to my asking about A Very British Coup and was going to finish with the comment Now where's Jenny? but decided to cut it short.

Checked the timings for GBH and A Very British Coup and what did I notice - Darkman with an uncredited cameo from Jenny on at the same time. Fortunately, I'd been sent the Darkman dvd just a few days ago or I'd have missed at least one of the others - no question as to which would have taken priority!

To quote Michael York, "Ah, Jenny! - if you don't know what he meant, Logan's Run is on TCM tomorrow, 3pm.

Like the new colours - much easier on the eye

Best bit of plot driven nudity ever:

"I think we need to take off our clothes before we freeze to death".

Although I've got an R1 dvd to play on a cheap multiregion player, it is only now that I've finally managed to get a good, clean recording to be able to play on my main recorder

Previously, the digital picture has frozen, they've used a poor quality, grainy print or it has been obviously cut.

I was watching Darkman, the other day, and there was a female doctor character whose voice sounded familiar. It turned out to be Jenny Agutter! A very tiny role. Only one scene. Cool film.

There is a story behind Jenny's uncredited cameo - though given that the source is John Landis, I'm going to seek verification!

Apparently, the actress playing the Burns Doctor dropped out at, quite literally, the last minute. The director phoned Landis and asked if he knew anyone who could handle the dialogue at a moment's notice. He suggested Jenny and then had to plead with her to take the part as she'd vowed never to do another horror movie after CP2. He claims she would only do it as a favour for him and as long as he took a part as well - which might explain his credited role and her uncredited role.

Not bad - in both 50 Films To See Before You Die and 50 Greatest Comedy Sketches.

Would someone who is a registered contributor with IMDb help me with a couple of corrections to Jenny's bibliography, please?

I seem to be going round in circles.
