This is a democracy, or maybe a "free for all". The contributors to the thread decide what to include in it. Posts are rarely cut because they are off-topic. Nearly all threads wander off topic to some degree or another. As the person who started the threads you have no rights or control over how it develops.

It is you who is threatening to cull posts from it because it has wandered 'off topic'! Where have I told people what they can and cannot discuss on here? This thread has always been Jenny-centric discussion rather than every post being directly about Jenny so I would really appreciate it if you didn't mess it up.

I think I'll give up this discussion. It appears to be totally meaningless

Oh dear, I go away for a few hours in the company of the Goddess and all hell breaks loose

A little decorum please, gentlemen - what would Jenny say if she saw us behaving in such a way [and she may be watching for all you know - she certainly does know this forum and this thread exist].

Anyway, it would seem that the only other British actress who is even close to having a song named after her in recent times is Emma Thompson.

Back to properly on topic - a fabulous evening at Scarborough. We met Jenny for half an hour before the performance and again afterwards. The performance itself was excellent, both the music and readings. I've never been much of a one for music but I'm getting into it more now - though the reader does play quite a part.

Can't wait for her next appearance up north, which is much closer to home.

PS if it's anyone's thread, it's Jenny's

All the best

Certainly my concern was that anyone peeping in at the wrong place looking for some juice on Jenny.... and finding endless witterings about other people in pop songs.... might go away and miss the real stuff...... mind you at 529 posts (now including this one) - the chances of happening upon just this tiny portion seem pretty remote. This topic often diverges and always comes full circle. Personally, I think it keeps it fresh.

Iwas only making a comment on here not opening a topic. If you have a coversation long enough in a pub with friends, the subject will drift from topic to topic and i don't think this sight is much different from any other conversation, anyway i think all is back on track now.

Anything associated with Miss Agutter can only be fragrant.

Not to worry - as soon as Jenny releases any news, it goes on her website and then I'll post it here.

I'd thought of using that photo on her website until she provided one of her own.

I was finally able to confirm a definite forgery of her autograph on eBay - and from a "certified dealer" if I recall. There have been a lot that I've been sure were forgeries but this one I knew she'd said had been discarded and that she didn't like it anyway so I was confident she wouldn't have signed it - and she confirmed that she's never signed any of that particular set.

glad you enjoyed seeing her again, she certainly is a lovely woman. I recently saw here in a steamy clinch in Spooks, she has come a long way since the Railway Children.

I always tell people to be wary of signatures offered on eBay. There are a LOT of forgeries out there. Even for some relatively (nowadays) unknown people.

Most of them offer a "certificate of authenticity", but what is such a certificate worth? It's usually created by the seller. If you trust the seller, why should you need a certificate? If you don't trust the seller, why should you trust their certificate?

The end sequence of At Dawning with just a head and shoulders view of her alone in a taxi is, in my opinion, absolutely sensational - just bowls me over.

As was the case with this particular one.

It is always pretty obvious. I'd guess that something more than 90 per cent of the so-called "genuine" autographs [why bother saying it is genuine?] of her on eBay are forgeries. The thick felt tip pen is usually a dead give-away and the lack of dedication. I raised this one because I knew she didn't like the photos so was confident that she wouldn't have signed them anyway.

Quite agree with you about taking very great care.

I've only just joined this forum, and about the third topic I find is dedicated to none other than my all time favourite actress. How cool is that.
Not only do I think Jenny is totally gorgeous, but she has the sexiest voice ever IMHO.
And I'm really jealous of Fellwanderer for actually meeting her you lucky devil you.

Welease....Bwian!
