Are there any pics from the earlier version? Particularly of Jenny??
Thanks
The 1968 version was believed lost but turned up a few years ago and was released on dvd by the BBC. Unfortunately, they withdrew it two years ago - I was relieved that I'd got my copy! Legitimate copies come up on eBay occasionally and I was able to get one there for Jenny, who didn't have a copy because she didn't know it had ever been available until after it had been withdrawn!

I'll sort out some stills from the 1968 version with Jenny and put them on my own website in the next few days - can't do it now as I'm busy dvd copying and then off to work.

I've put The Railway Children [1968] screengrabs on my own website - if there were to be any complaints, I don't want Jenny implicated. Seems OK on her official website for her to have a single screengrab from each programme but I was less sure about multiple screengrabs.

There are 24 up - strangely enough, Jenny appears in each one
I'll add some more - which may not include her - if you want.

The Railway Children 1968

Although the same opening sequence is shown for each of the seven episodes, they vary in quality. In one there is what looks like a droplet of water that runs down the righthand edge!

Many of the exterior shots have glare on them - seems to be a fault in the lighting.

It would be nice if the BBC were to digitally remaster it.

Not as young as in this:

This is the very first frame in which Jenny ever appeared:

And this is the first in which she is identifiable:

All three from East of Sudan [1964]

Default Jenny on Loose Women

Jenny appears as guest on Loose Women this lunchtime - "And I suppose you've set to record it!" said Mrs Fell when she saw Digiguide had popped up a reminder.

It was indeed and the fact that Jenny loves technology and looking at all the latest gadgets.

I must say I found it a little odd in this weeks Invisibles that Grace believed her father had worked in the same branch of a bank in England for 40 years and had gone to work every day while living in Spain for the last 20 years. Or did she really think he was about 80?

A grand day with both The Riddle of the Sands [one of my favourite roles by Jenny] and Logan's Run. Should get home from work just in time for LR - but will record them both anyway. Despite having most of Jenny's work on dvd, I still like to catch them again on TV, every time.

I liked The Riddle of the Sands also. Good music and a certain style to it. Although when seeing the character Aurthur Davies, I must admit that I kept thinking of Michael Palin in Ripping Yarns.

It's also interesting how Jenny goes from her very adult role in China 9 and afterwards her last child role (at age 26) in The Riddle of the Sands. Both played well and beautifully blonde.

Default Visible Invisibles, Jenny nearly Invisible

8 wasted minutes of The Invisibles are on YouTube at YouTube - Invisibles BBC 1 Comedy. Jenny is only in the opening credits which sounds about normal from earlier comments about the show on this board.

On a brighter note I see that Jenny will be on BBC2 on Wed, June 4 at 3pm (Fell set your recorder) on Murder She Wrote (1986). I saw this episode about a month ago. See Jenny as the guest star in a toga-like 1980's dress playing a Rhodesian. Worth a watch.

Great cast that deserved better scripts.

Yes, I'd seen that a couple of days ago and have already set to record it - twice! It'll be nice to get a copy without any of those awful onscreen logos spoiling it.
