A belated Happy Birthday to Jean Kent. I'm not exatly sure what date her birthday fell on though as some web sites list it as being 21st June, yet others list her birthday as having occured yesterday (29th June). I've also seen her year of birth given as 1916 before, but I tend to believe 1921 is the correct year.

I have been a fan for over 60 years and have only ever seen her birthday listed as 21st June 1921, she and Jane Russell were born on the same day.

Here is Jean as poor Mrs. Garrick, whose husband, played by Peter Dyneley, left her long ago, reducing
her to a child-like state - complete with doll! Their son was played by a young Christopher Cazenove:

Can't imagine Jean being a fan of Suzi Q somehow, but you never know!

Is there anyone contributing to this thread who would describe themselves as a Jean Kent "expert"?

I have heard a very interesting story that she related to an author about Eric Portman and would love to discuss it (- in a "pm".)
