Irish born actress Geraldine Fitzgerald made 11 British films for the likes of Bernard Vorhaus, Norman Walker and Leslie Hiscott ending with "The Mill on the Floss" which co-starred James Mason, Victoria Hopper and Griffith Jones before going to Hollywood (Wuthering Heights, Dark Victory etc) and returning to England for "So Evil My Love" and Maurice Elvey's "The Late Edwina Black" after the war. She has died aged 91 after suffering from Alzheimer's Disease for many years.

I don't know much about her,but I do remember her in The Pawnbroker with Rod Steiger and looking at her brief biog. in Halliwell's,she turned to folk singing in her sixties.
