Thanks for the picture. I really love it. I have a lot of stills myself but don't know how to put them on this site. I'm looking for the movie The heart of the matter. One of the later performances of jack. I also bought Brand spanking new show because Jack was in it but it was really dissapointing. The only thing you see of him is his back, not doing or saying anything. What a waste. But maybe thats the humor in it??? not my kind. So next movie I am buying is special branch.

Thanks for those, Wearysloth.

I was unsuccessful in my efforts to get a good image of him with Stephanie Beacham, in Special Branch, but I hope you like this one of Jack and co-star Betty Arvaniti from Who Pays The Ferryman, again from the opening episode, Return to Yesterday.

Thanks for the pictures. Just watched the Madison equation. Love it. The simplicity and empathy of Jacks way of acting is impressive.

Default Jack RIP

Alas, I'm pretty sure he is dead. My mother was a great fan but I was indifferent to him until one day I saw him walking down Ebury Street and I was bowled over. He was wearing, of all things, a yellow cardigan (of all things!) and looked a million dollars. He must have lived locally, it looked as if he'd just popped out for a newspaper.

Why are you pretty sure? - what is your source of information?

Oh-er! I think you're right...I cant understand it, I was really sure I'd looked him up some time ago and according to the web he'd died! Well, I've checked and you are right there is no sign of him having passed away..I'm really glad to be wrong on that count! Mea culpa!

Default Jack Hedley in 'Room at the Top' (1959)

All I can say is that I hope Jack is well and in good spirits, as I do for all the stars I care about (the few that are left anyway).

And now for an instant repost of his brief, wordless appearance in this classic film, which I've just used
at the 'Uncredited Actors' thread. He played an Architect who walks into Donald Wolfit's office, with an
as yet unidentified actor, full of hope for his new plans. But hard-to-please Donald literally throws his
idea back at him and poor Jack and his friend are sent packing.

Seeing him standing infront of his boss's desk, holding that model (which looks like a box there),
reminds me so much of Peter Finch in Something To Hide, right down to the ill-fitting suit and curly
hair. Disturbingly, it was a baby that Peter was carrying in the rather less famous film.

It's about time I worked on more screencaps from Who Pays The Ferryman?, so watch this space!

Default Publicity photo for ITV series 'Kate'

I posted this great picture at Phyllis Calvert's thread earlier. He played her boss, Donald Killearn:

Like Justice, which starred Phyllis's contemporary Margaret Lockwood, I HOPE I'm wrong in believing
this forgotten show won't be available to us anytime soon, if ever. I'd love to see it, wouldn't you?

Kate works on a popular magazine as agony column writer 'Dear Monica'. Sometimes (infact most times)
she can't help getting personally involved with the desperate who write to her.
- IMDb summary

Hope there's an episode where she says to one of her readers: "I'll get me violin out next"!

Funnily enough I just did a screen grab of Jack Hedley yesterday from the UFO episode Court Martial, and here it is:

EDIT - I can't get the image to come up, so here's a link:
