Default If you could interview your favourite actor or actress

What questions would you ask him or her?

I suspect I'd be asking Torin about his old boxing days.

He brings joy to me.

I would interview Oliver Reed just to ask him if he remembered anything at all about when he appeared on the `after dark` discussion programme

xx

Creative people feel isolated, they create, they`re not part of an established functioning society!

I think maybe because his role was downsized compared to Charles' and Elsa's.

He brings joy to me.

I would love to interview Hylda Baker......the woman is a legend!!!!I would want to know why she was so hard on herself, careerwise, and try to get to the bottom of why she never found true happiness.......

I would interview Margaret Sullavan and ask her why she left films and went to New York after making so few, and what it was like to work with James Stewart and Henry Fonda. Then I would stop talking and just listen. I would likely be tongue-tied anyway.

I would interview Jean Simmons and ask her about her early career in Britain and then her years as an actress in the US and the differences between film making in the two countries. She seems to me to be interesting, intelligent and witty. She also was generally much too good for most of her US films.

I would love to interview, Frank Capra, specifically about his time at Mack Sennett's studios in Edenvale......
It would also be nice to reminisce about his time as a "gag writer" for Hal Roach....
I think I would need a few days...........
Cheers

Being an ex BBC Producer of film prog's I was lucky enough to meet most of my heroes...However meeting Terence Stamp at a party (on his own) I talked to him for over an hour. Everything from Billy Budd to Superman...what an amazing character. He also told me that the sword sequence in Far from the Madding Crowd was filmed by just Nick Roeg and himself, as John Schlesinger (the Director) was having a sleep in! One of his favourite films was The Collector.
Film Man.

I'd love to talk horses with Oliver Tobias - he's something of a horseman, I believe.

Along with Hylda Baker, I also love to interview Louis B Mayer - the man behind Metro Goldwyn Mayer, Saint or Tyrant? mmmmmhhhhh. I had a life long intrest in this charachter. If I was to host a dinner party he would be defintley be at the top of the list

Louis B Mayer
Hylda Baker
Diana Dors
Allan Dwan - Legendary Film Director from the silents to the 50's
Paul Newman
Pearl Bailey
and Finally Marion Davies, most certainly one of the most underrated actresses.

So if you were to host an imaginary dinner party who would you invite and why????

I would love to interview some of the long-deceased horror stars: Boris Karloff, Bela Lugosi, the Chaneys. Also Lionel Atwill who was by all accounts a very strange duck.
