I think Nic would take your comments as a huge compliment because he is a big admirer of Britain and all things British.
Perhaps this is why you thought he was English as he does use a lot of English terminology as opposed to 'Americanisms' when he acts and when speaking in general.
Plus...it just shows what a wonderful actor he is!

Hmm, not many of you think that brit men are sexy, and as someone pointed out, this is supposed to be a brit movie forum...

Alan Rickman wins for me! He's closely followed by Jason Isaacs and Gary Oldman. I also have a soft spot for Christopher Lee, Billy Boyd and Dominic Monaghan.

Let's face it many of the British actors aren't as sexy as their American counterparts!: but having said that our British actors are great actors.
I admire the likes of Gary Oldman, Rhys Ifans, Robert Carlyle and Mark Rylance, to name but a few, but when it comes to 'eye candy' America wins hands down!

I've met Alan Rickman.

It was in June 2004 at Shakespeares Globe theatre here in London and we were there to see - another great British actor - Mark Rylance in Measure for Measure.
Alan Rickman was sitting four seats away from us in the row in front of us.

We spoke to him after the performance and he was kind enough to sign a programme for me.

I disagree with you! I CAN'T STAND American Actors and most of them are to me physically repellant.

I prefer home grown british men. I don't find Americans that sexy AT ALL!!! AND how can you say that when you've met ALAN!!!!!

As nice as Alan Rickman is he doesn't do anything for me.
It wouldn't do for us all to like the same things would it!

I think Moor Larkin has said it all!!!!
