Upon watching the re-run of Dandylion Dead this wekend, (Micheal Kitchen as Major Herbert Rouse Armstrong), it struck me that Sarah Miles was a good spitting image for Ossie Osbourne. Does anyone else agree or was just me?

I had noticed that a few years ago when they were both young. It's the same hairstyle too! I saw Richie Benaud on the cricket recently and he now looks like Parker, Lady Penelope's chauffeur in the Gerry Anderson puppet seriesThunderbirds!

I was thinking about Sarah Miles at lunchtime today, strangely enough, and wondered how so many similarly well known actresses can be so rich and famous for what seemed just a handful of good parts (she had a handful anyway) a very long time ago? The Mills sisters, Rita Tushingham, the Redgraves, Andress, Welch etc did they give up actressing altogether or did they concentrate on stage careers/voiceovers or do lots of US TV stuff?
