As you may or may not know, I am a fan(atic) about Robert Powell. A friend of mine who lives in Paris is also a fan(atic) and went to see a play he appeared in last year in London. I think it was an Oscar Wilde play. I have been writing to Robert for a couple of years -nice letters commenting on his films that I've seen, and I've seen almost all of them. I want you to know that I'm not some kind of screaming kid writing mad love letters -no, I'm very serious about my letters. So, my friend surprised me by videotaping a message from Robert to me in which he wished me Merry Christmas, etc. It's only about 20 seconds long, but it is a treasured possession. That must have been a lovely surprise and I'm sure it is treasured.

Well... the treasured possession given to me by Jenny is not quite so intimate.

Just make sure no one slips it in the video recorder and tapes over it with your worse nightmare of a programme. Treasure it with all your heart.

DeeDee,I am a little younger than Robert Powell, and you may be interested to know that in the late seventies I was frequently told by women that I looked like him. This must have happened at least twenty or thirty times, and I have to say that I was a little put out by it, as I would rather have been likened to James Garner!
Sadly nobody has mentioned the supposed resemblance for many years, and even worse,I notice that Robert still looks like Robert Powell while I more closely resemble Nosher Powell.
Don't worry,I won't trouble you with a greetings video.

Cheers

Jacky
