Hi folks - I googled Bob Danvers Walker, the voice of Pathe News, and was disappointed in the lack of information on the guy. Does anyone have any information on his career they could share? Was there ever a biography?

Unfortunately, the only other information I know about him is that he was a regular on the tv quiz show "Take Your Pick".

I can help you with information, Bob Danvers Walker is my great grandfather. And family members know huge amounts of information about him obviously. So, anything you'd like to know that isn't currently provided on the internet, send another reply on this.

I worked with the delightful Bob on Radio Luxembourg and a very charming man he was too, I still have some tapes of him. His car registration number was RAD10 and RAD11 which if my memory serves me correctly came from an old tractor.
I'd give my right arm to be ambidextrous.

Those dulcet tones bring back so many memories of Take Your Pick and seeing Pathe at the cinema. I consider myself being very lucky to watch a few Pathe newsreels as a child in the sixties.

He had one of those voices that made me feel 'safe'. Does that make sense?.
