Default You've found me

Hi there,

A friend found this site and said you guys were looking for me, wondering what happened to me. Still alive, still kicking, living in Connecticut, in the US. Yes, I am American, yes I was on the Morecambe and Wise show, in 1976 (maybe 1975, but not 1973...). Yes to the Eurovision Song Contest info (worst song in the world....) PS Did you know Malcolm Roberts died recently?

I retired from show business because I got the dreaded ME (Chronic Fatigue Syndrome here in the States) and for seven years I was down for the count. It was homeopathy that cured me, and since then I have obtained degrees in both nutrition and homeopathy, and have been practicing in those fields.

I still sing and write, I have a new CD in soft country I finished recently, I have writen two screenplays, one which got made into a rather bad Canadian film, and have written two books in the alternate medicine field.

I come to the UK often to see friends in London, Suffolk ( I lived in Wickhambrook, Suffolk, not Norfolk, but you were close!), and outside Bristol.

So that is a quick update. I didn't marry the Greek- married a film director and lived in LA for awhile then moved to CT.

Life is good, and it was great to see that people still remember me- thank you!

Diane

Great to hear from you,Diane. In fact,I was reading an article today about your show with Morecambe & Wise:the scene where you and Ernie were singing to gether on a horse drawn carriage, with Eric driving it and pulled away by the horses.
Thanks very much replying to this post - you are most welcome to our little club.

Hi Diane,

I have one of your programmes somewhere from when we went to see you at a club called the Golden Garter in Wythenshawe near Manchester. I can remember I had a bit of a crush on you as well, bought my girlfriend a single rose, then took it upsatge and gave it you instead. It didn't work out too bad though because my girlfriend is now my wife and we have been together 30 years in total.

Great to know you are ok and doing well !!

Smile Diane Solomon

Hi Diane, Hi everyone,
Nice to hear from you, Diane. I saw you in concert at Ipswich in Suffolk, I think probably during the late seventies.
Afterwards I ventured round to the stage door and had a chat with you backstage during which you signed your then latest albums that I had purchased on my way out of the theatre.
They were titled "Mixed Feelings" and "One Step At A Time" and are still in pristine condition within my collection. Whilst chatting to you I also mentioned that I had already got in my collection what I think was probably your first album. It was called "Take Two" and yes I still have it in near perfect condition although the cover is a little the worse for wear.
Sorry to hear about your recent health problem, but It's nice to know that you've recovered from it.
Would love to hear from you again when you are next on this site.

Regards,

Norman JM, Colchester UK

Default Congratulations to Diane

Diane,
Also to add that I think it's great that you have taken degrees in nutrition and homeopathy and are now extending those skills. Well done. Life begins when life begins and isn;t agebound.

As for the screenplay that made a bad Canadian film - I'm trying to think of a good Canadian film!!!!
