"Hi there,

A friend found this site and said you guys were looking for me, wondering what happened to me. Still alive, still kicking, living in Connecticut, in the US. Yes, I am American, yes I was on the Morecambe and Wise show, in 1976 (maybe 1975, but not 1973...). Yes to the Eurovision Song Contest info (worst song in the world....) PS Did you know Malcolm Roberts died recently?

I retired from show business because I got the dreaded ME (Chronic Fatigue Syndrome here in the States) and for seven years I was down for the count. It was homeopathy that cured me, and since then I have obtained degrees in both nutrition and homeopathy, and have been practicing in those fields.

I still sing and write, I have a new CD in soft country I finished recently, I have writen two screenplays, one which got made into a rather bad Canadian film, and have written two books in the alternate medicine field.

I come to the UK often to see friends in London, Suffolk ( I lived in Wickhambrook, Suffolk, not Norfolk, but you were close!), and outside Bristol.

So that is a quick update. I didn't marry the Greek- married a film director and lived in LA for awhile then moved to CT.

Life is good, and it was great to see that people still remember me- thank you!

Diane"

Don't miss out on a chance to win a rare film in Bat-Quiz 13 closing date - 31/8/8.

hi dianne
i used to watch you with my dad when i was in my twenties.
We felt then you were ...an angel....and I continued to look for cassettes in shops but only find one in my travels....usually in uk, charity shops are good for classic tapes that appear not interestd parties bring. Well after poor attempt at a earlier marriage , i married a singer/songwriter in my second marriage and she made a CD which i would love to post you a copy. We live now in lappland, Sweden and my wife has not really performed since our two boys came, 1995, 2001. We met in University, me in mid 40s and Victoria 35..so we are late dad and mum but God made.

Since my 0wife is a christian singer and since my travelling days ended , we share now mostly christian songs. How do i get copies of your old cassettes, etc. I expect LPs are rare.
I would love to hear your new CD.....

You are in the states, and it is wonderful Christian Country and we would love to come to a large christian church over there but not sure how we plan a trip to USA now with all the security bug any tips on travel, etc. Do you need a passport with colour photos..on?.
Where is Conneticut?

look forward to hearing from you

PLEASE can someone tell me where to download her old songs. I loved her music growing up and my Dad was a HUGE Fan. I HAVE to find her albumns on Vinyl, CD or whatever, Dianne if you have a way for me to buy these then PLEASE help me. I will design your website and host it for FREE if you help me. I will pay for the music also, it would mean so much to my dad. Thanks for your time.

hello everyone, especially all you Diane Solomon fans, I hadn't heard anything about her for years, so when I finally got myself a computer I looked her up and found all of you had been looking too, but the best bit was reading her own messages it's good to know she's still around. When she was on the telly I was only a young fella and loved her shows, I don't supose they are on video anywere? the only footage I've seen is the euro song contest stuff and it's not very good is it. I'd love to see the shows again.

This is a lovely thread, I wasnt a big fan of Diane Solomon as a teenager but I do remember her having George Hamilton 1V as a guest in 1977/ and they were chatting about one of my all time farvourites Gordon Liightoot, Hamilton championed Lightfoots music in the sixties.

The Diane Solomon show brings back memories of those great variety shows that were a part and parcel of BBCs, usually on a Monday night, this also triggers off momoroes of that other BBC2 staple the western, High Chaparal, Lancer and Alias Smith and Jones.

Default Download of Diane's latest songs

Hi Diane & everyone,

I have just managed to find my way through to download of your recent songs, absolutely super, great. The last time I saw you live was in Bedford (UK) back in the mid 70s, lot of water under the bridge for all of us, so even more of a thrill to hear you again & to see you are continuing writing & composing.

Thanks so very much for placing your songs on the web for us, takes an old bloke like me a few minutes to find my way round my computer, but so very well worth it.

Do you intend to bring out a CD of your latest & recent material at any stage?

Take care & all the very best.
