the imdb enrty for sid field reads " spouse -Constance Dawkins (? - ?) 3 children " so can anyone shed further info on his wife and kids and whether they are alive

A few years ago a friend of mine had the opportunity of interviewing Frank Williams (the vicar in Dad’s Army) and couldn’t resist asking him about his appearance in a 1977 sex comedy called What’s Up Nurse. Frank couldn’t remember much about the film since in the typical British sex comedy “special guest star” tradition he was only on set for around a day, the only interesting titbit of info Frank could remember from the set was hearing that the film’s star Nicholas Field was the son of Sid Field.

Sid Field is a bit before my time, but I happened to see a picture of him on the web last night and there is quite a family resemblance, so I assume Frank was right. I believe Nicholas Field later quit acting and became an interior designer.
