Jane Wyatt R.I.P.
Although an American actress I believe that most film and television lovers on the forum will be sad to hear of the passing of Jane Wyatt recently from natural causes aged 96.
A prolific star of stage and screen. Best remembered for her starring role in the hit television series 'Father Knows Best' and also as Dr.Spock's mother in televisions 'Star Trek'. She later revived that role in the film 'Star Trek IV - The Voyage Home'. A great actress who left us many fine memories. Dave. |

Although she lived to a grand old age, it's always sad to lose a star from Hollywood's golden era. Whilst she didn't enjoy the legendary status of some of her contemporaries, she always added a touch of class and quality to any film she was in, and Lost Horizon and Gentleman's Agreement were such fine, well crafted movies. A sad loss.
