If you Google her name or go to iMDb there's some info on her but it's not very good news.

Apart from her appearances in PLEASE SIR, Barbara had a pretty high-profile supporting role as Carmel McSharry's friend and neighbour in BERYL'S LOT, a prime-time 60 minute comedy-drama on ITV in the seventies.
This series cemented her position as a leading comedy actress, and she was expected to go on to great things, but then, sadly, was cruelly struck down.
