Well, they do say the secret of comedy is timing...but I think his death came at a particularly poor time (Is there a good one?) as he had the ability and track record to do as Peter Cook did, and become a father figure, patron saint almost, of the next generation of comics, the alternative bunch. Oh yes, I completely agree. And he'd actually already started down that road...helping out aspiring writers and emerging talent, as the program and other things have noted before. Marty would have been great for that. Oh and Peter Cook rocks!
That stunt man sketch is classic and I know exactly what you mean about how fake the window jump looks. But then, at the same time, to think that something of that magnitude was one of the very few stunts that Feldman actually didn't do himself, it's pretty cool. So you can't jump out of a window? No but you did everything else! haha.
