Thanks Roger, I've had a quick look and it looks very interesting. I'm fascinated by the programme for the Holborn Empire for the week commencing Monday September 30th 1929. Lily Morris, Will Hay and Company, and Robb Wilton - all on the same bill.

I have seen that Lily Morris fans and relatives have posted notes on this web. I am related to Lily Morris, my grandmother(Lilles) is 95 and remembers her with great fondness, she was named after her mothers sister, Lilles Mary (Lily Morris), there are currently four generations of Lilles', mr grandmother, mother, myself and my daughter. We heard rumour recently that there was a possibility that Lily gave birth to a daughter as well as a son. Anyone with any news or views would be great to hear from.

I am so sorry I have not seen your posting before now. I have kept an eye on my own post !Lily Morris" but never thought to do a search for "Lily Morris" on the forum. I am decended from Archi McDougals side of the family.I do know that they did not have any children. I have recently been re unighted with a cousin in Scotland and she remembers her father being given a ride on the running board of her Rolls Royce whilst she visited his mother. Archie was my grannie's uncle.

I presime you have seen the postings by myself and Rebecca on the other Lily Morris posts started by me.

Do Keep in touch. Althought there is no "genetic" link it is still fasinating to learn of a part of the family we knew nothing about!

I'm afraid I can't help you with your search but may I say what a lovely name you have. I've never come across that version of Lily before.
