Craig is a latecomer to the race.
I'd give the nod to Dougray Scott
According to today's Sun,finding the replacement to play the role of Commander James Bond 007 has been wittled down to Daniel Craig and Clive Owen.
Let's see what happens!

WHO CARES ANYWAY I THINK THE JAMES BOND THEME IS WELL WORN OUT
MOVE ON TO NEW HEROS
P S I KNOW I AM PRINTING IN CAPITA
SORRY NO OFFENCE JUST A PERSONAL OPINION!!!!!!
Well if Owen wins an Oscar in 2 days they'll surely want him on the back of that publicity (however his price may rocket at the same time).
I still feel Owen is the most wooden "actor" around - if he's the best we've got then gawd help us!

To add confusion to the matter, some bloke from Nip/Tuck,an Aussie once married to Danni Minogue,is supposedly in the running.
As for the Sun,well yes it is more famous for its page three contents, but its politcal comentator Trevor Kavanagh is well respected,Richard Littlejohn knows where to punch where it hurts,Jane Moore is brilliant as is Lorraine Kelly;Jeremy Clarkson along with Littlejohn are so wonderfully un-pc,they speak what many dare not say. Yes The Sun is at times sensationalist, but then again so are other tabloids.

I'd happily see Littlejohn and the rest burnt at the stake. Nasty xenophobic right-wing underlings of an Aussie magnate.
It's my eternal hope the people of Liverpool uphold their ban on the shoddy rag.
I know a good use for the"Sun", cleaning windows! But only if it's been thrown away by somebody else first!....Rag. Regards, Decks.
By the by...I still rate that geezer from "Spooks"...erm ..er..ah! Matthew MacFadyen, for Bond.Regards, Decks.

Did you get your job out of the 'situation's vacant' in the Guardian DB7?.
Now then, boys, this is becoming an argument and we're all friends on this site :scold: . The debate is about Clive versus Owen,or will the House of Brocolli come to some decision. However,I must apologise for fanning the argument over the Sun.

It seems you may be right Marky...if this article...
http://film.guardian.co.uk/News_Story/Guar...1425285,00.html
is to be believed, this bloke from Nip/Tuck has been told that the Bond part is between him and one other actor.....mmm I wonder who that might be.... regards, Decks.
Now I like Martin Campbell's idea of going back to Bond's early days (when he was still a virgin :hysterical: ?),as per chronology since Casino Royale was the first Bond book. I hope it doesn't go to far back, otheriwse we'll have Daniel Radcliffe (Harry Potter) as James Bond !

Don't mock. Charlie 'Fast Show' Higson was on breakfast telly this week plugging his novel SilverFin which is apparently written in Fleming's style and based on the adventures of a teenage James Bond.
A film spin-off is surely a possibility.

What do you think about Orlando Bloom? I think he is very talented and would be very good. Nobody seems to mention him, but surely he must be under consideration, yes?

Orlando Bloom? he looks to me like he'd have trouble opening a tin of beans, never mind saving & shagging the free world at the same time.
