Does anyone remember a British character actress of the 60's-80's called Annette

    Robertson ?

She was small with long auburn hair and big dark eyes- a real stunner !

Annette appeared in " The Young Ones " with Cliff Richard," Spare the Rod " and

" A Kind of Loving " just to name a few, as well as being in various TV films and

dramas up to the mid 80's.I think her last appearance was in an episode of "Boon ".

She was a real favourite of mine-it would be nice to know what she's doing now. ( retired probably-she would be at least 60 now).

    Any ideas ?

    Thanks

According to IMDB, Ms Robinson's last acting appearence was in the TV adaptation of P D James' 'Shroud For A Nightingale' back in 1982. (Doesn't time fly?)

Wasn't she knobbing Ken Russell in the mid-1960s? If I remember rightly, his autobiography 'A British Picture' refers to an affair with an actress, and a perusal of his mid-1960s TV credits suggests it was her.

Dunno what she's doing now but she was the first wife of John Hurt.

I have fond memories of Annette Robertson and wonder how and where she is. Annette and I were fellow students 1959-61 and together we worked on a play called 'Hello Out There' by William Saroyan.

A wonderful actress and a joy to work with, and once you had fallen in love with those big brown eyes you never fell out again...aaahhh!!!

I have tried to trace her through Friends Reunited but no luck. It would be nice to know that she is safe, well and happy.

    Hi tolo

I've just seen your response to my query about Annette Robertson.

I really was a fan of hers and you'll be interested to learn that I've been able establish contact with her son, Ben, who lives in the US.

Annette lives in Wales but despite prods from Ben hasn't been in touch ( I'm in contact with a guy who's actually reconstructed the Dr Who story she was in, we're trying to get a copy to her !).

I'm sure you would have more success, as an old acquaintance, and if you want to ring me on

020-8509-2669 I will give you Bens e-mail add.

I too would love to know what she's doing now.

I was wondering if anyone had any update on this since it's been a couple of years since the last post.

I spoke with Squib last night who gave me Ben's email address. Unfortunetaly it no longer works and bounces back.

Squib was also contacted by an old friend of Annette's called Christine Ford but even though he had the fore-sight to write down her number, that too is now out of date.

If anyone's heard anything more of Annette, or knows how to contact her son Ben, PLEASE get in touch and let me know.

I'm wanting to talk with her about the possibility of her attending a Dr Who event of mine (www.flightthrougheternity) but am struggling to think of ways forward....

I know its some time since these enquiries and I have been searching for her since 2001. I know she was in the Childrens Film Foundation series "Four Winds Island" screened in 1962or63 on the kids cinema on Saturday mornings. Anyone know if there are copies of that around? She hasn't acted for some time and I heard a rumour she had died. I got a call in 2001 from a mystery caller asking if she owed me money(??) I said no.It's very strange. I do know she is off the acting register and has had no agent since the early 90s. Any news?
