Hello again! Earl played a character called 'Jombote' in the 1974 ITC series:

I found this while looking for a cast photo of The Zoo Gang, which has a new

thread here. The 'gang' were John Mills, Lilli Palmer, Barry Morse & Brian Keith.

Earl Cameron Documentary Planned | Bernews.com

a British businessman now hopes to raise up to £400,000 to finance a feature-length documentary about the life and times of the celebrated Bermudian actor. “I was amazed to hear the story of his life and to see how young black people looked up to him with such reverence,” Ken Meeson, a senior manager with a leading recycling business, recently told a British newspaper. “Getting to know Earl and his work in depth has been enlightening and captivating.

“Earl is the personification of graciousness and a film about his life and work should be made as soon as possible while he is still young enough and active enough to participate himself. My only reason for helping Earl is just that, I want to help him. I feel his story is not only interesting but will be seen by many, old, young, black or white as what you can do with your life if you persevere and continue to give it your best. “I hope that young people across the world will be able to learn about Earl’s work through the film.”

A writer and producer/director have already been recruited for the project. Mr. Meeson said a full-length documentary, possibly narrated by his longtime friend and fellow black cinematic pioneer Sidney Poitier, would cost anywhere between £50,000 and £400,000.

Mr. Cameron was appointed a Commander of the British Empire in the Queens 2009 New Year Honours List. In 2007 the Bermuda International Film Festival presented him with its Prospero Award for lifetime achievement in cinema.

TVTimes preview for ITV Playhouse - Murder: An Even Chance, 22nd June 1968

I posted an enlarged version of Earl Cameron two years ago. It's taken that long to bring you the whole article:
Interesting story. A lot of the Playhouse productions are lost but this is one of the lucky ones. Likewise, Entertaining Mr. Sloane, shown a few weeks later. It also appears to be the earliest surviving appearance of Peter Egan, who I've been watching in gangster series Big Breadwinner Hog. I still find it a bit weird that Tandy Cronyn was named after both her parents' surnames. Thriller fans will remember her as the suspicious reporter who narrowly escapes Denholm Elliott's attempt on her life in The Crazy Kill.

Nicholas Courtney once told me that William Hartnell refused to act with Max Adrian because he was Jewish and gay and Earl Cameron because he was coloured. As Nick wasn't in the two DOCTOR WHO stories in which Max Adrian and Earl Cameron appeared, so I don't know how accurate that was.

Worth mentioning - although I expect we all know it by now but I've just come across this thread - that Earl Cameron was seen briefly in Christopher Nolan's Inception - one of the many reasons for watching this excellent film.
