[QUOTE=Sgt Sunshine;2036808]Gerry turns up in the most unusual places including in one of his earliest roles the character of "Frederick" in the infamous 1978 film " Leidenschaftliche Blumchen"....
opposite an aspiring young German actress.....
I think I read that he & Nastassja were "an item" at one time!

May I make special mention of Mr Michael Latimer. He played in Slave Girls for Hammer (1966), Man of Violoence (1970), and numerous appearances in The Avengers and The Sweeney etc. This gorgeous guy, with his dark sparkly eyes, would have made a great Bond - if proof were needed, see my avatar! Sadly, Michael passed away last summer aged 69.
Well, I feel like reviving this thread following all the activity going on over on the sister thread about the sexy ladies!
Might I make a case for the following gentlemen, without objectifying them that much
Frank Finlay. I know he's in his eighties but he has the most amazing voice and weirdly, he is still incredibly attractive. Even more weird, when he was younger (e.g. when he played Iago opposite Olivier) he didn't appeal quite as much!
Paul Jones. More a signer than an actor, I know, but he did lead in Privilege, now out again from the BFI. Just gone seventy and hasn't really altered in fifty years. Very lean and plays an mean harmonica.
Mick Jagger. Face like an old boot but he still has something. Perhaps it's because he looks so good in those jeans.
Timothy Dalton. Leaves me shaken and stirred every time. He's played Rochester and Heathcliff and Rhett as well as James Bond, and is ageing very well (a little blip in the 1990s aside when he appeared in The Reef). And as a young man he was a pretty boy babe.
Ian Hendry. Beautiful when he was in his thirties and by the Lotus Eaters aged forty was seriously hot. I know things went downhill eventually but with those eyes and that voice he had something right to the end for this lady.
Louis Hayward. Hollywood's B-movie pirate king. Smouldered in And Then There Were None and swashbuckled with the best in tights. Urbane and sexy.
Ralph Bates. Dangerous and hot, and also loveable in the lonely hearts club.
Oliver Reed. Need I say more? Always an edge to him, and with the most beautiful eyes of anyone ever. Even in Gladiator he looked fantastic.
Wallace Reid. Who? He was a silent star, dead by 1923, but looked very modern. In most of his films his hair went all mussed up and fell over his eyes, and he looked fab. People might talk about Barrymore's profile, but Wally was the first screen hottie in my book.
and an off-field choice ...
Marc Bolan. The gorgeous tiny elf. If ever a man looked good in make-up and a feather boa, it was the groover with the corkscrew hair, who makes this list because he did make a film, Born to Boogie. So he kind of qualifies.
(You can tell I'm having a boring weekend ...!)
Ralph Bates and Frank Finlay - definitely gorgeous !
Oliver Reed - mad, bad, and dangerous to know - love him !
Not keen on Timothy Dalton.
I don't think I have ever spoken to a girl who doesn't fancy Frank Finlay and Lynn likes Ian McShane and I have got to say Paul Jones is ageing well, lucky so and so
PAUL JONES was seriously hot back in the day! I met him after a concert recently and he signed my copy of Privilege. Paul also appeared in Demons of the Mind (1971) for Hammer.

Steve Reeves? Not my type at all. As Janet in Rocky Horror would say 'I don't like a man with too many muscles'.
Keep going ladies ...

How curious! I mean I can definitely see why but still, every girl you've ever spoken to?! How does the subject come up in conversation? I blame Bouquet of Barbed Wire. My cousin was allowed to watch it when babysitting me and perhaps even at such a young age that's where the interest has come from! I'm blanking out his Blackadder appearance though, lol.
It has a lot to answer for !
Did Alan Bates use to be nude in most of his films ?? ( the other one being Women in Love
)
Here in the excellent french surrealistic and poetic comedy Le Roi de Coeur [ Philippe de Broca/1966 ]
