I seem to recall from a previous thread that Fellwanderer's best friend is related to Bernard Archard. I presume you've checked his entry on IMDb. If not, there is no mention of his death and he would have celebrated his 90th birthday last August. His last acting credit was for Emmerdale back in 1992/93, and he was living in retirement in the West Country in 2004.



Apparently, he was on the verge of emigrating to Canada back in the 1950s before gaining his most popular success in the long-running TV series Spycatcher (1959-61).

I remember Spycatcher quite well.He played Colonel Pinto.Also he memorably played a General on a white hore in the Dads Army film.
