She was the watcher (dealer?) in the Le Chiffre/casino scenes in CASINO ROYALE, coming full circle from her earlier 007 appearance with 'very best Peking Duck' in YOU ONLY LIVE TWICE....

I was watching ‘A Date with Luyu’ on the PCNE Chinese language channel last Saturday and was intrigued to see a confident mature woman being interviewed by the host. The woman was extremely adept at engaging with and playing to the audience. She was clearly in her latter years but still a very attractive woman and that at 71.
They then flashed a few screenshots up and I suddenly recognised her as Tsai Chin who appeared as Lin Tang the daughter of Christopher Lee’s Fu Manchu. I was dependant on the screenshots to identify her as although I am learning Mandarin Chinese my vocabulary so far is limited. They also showed her appearing in the latest Bond film and a much earlier one when she was a romantic attachment for Bond... gosh she was even in Blow Up the David Hemming’s film and played Juicy Lucy in The Virgin Soldiers!

She starred in a few other films as way back as 1957 in Violent Playground. She also was in one of my favourite sci-fi b movies Invasion made by Anglo Amalgamated in 1966 and starring Edward Judd. She was also amusing in the 1972 film Rentadick.
I am sorry to say, I only had the pleasure of working with her once. My loss!

Tsai Chin getting the better of Mr. Bond.
She's great in the psudo-animated Year of the Fish too

She also recorded TWO Long Play Albums for the Decca Record Co. (1962) and
(1965) "The World Of" and "The Western World Of" both very rare now.
I have them both and the musical arrangements are so very good, especially the later (and rarer) one! Sings in the Queens English! Quaint!!!
