What happened to John Hamill?

Does anyone know what happened to the actor John Hamill who appeared in "The Tower Of Evil" in 1971?

Good question, afraid I don’t know the answer though.



A while back I was contacted by someone who went to school with him who was trying to find him, but I couldn’t help out. He was still acting as of the mid-80s, but then appears to have quit acting to open a furniture shop. Someone claiming to be his son posted on John’s IMDB message board, saying he was interested in selling Hamill related film memorabilia, but doest appear to be answering emails.

Seems to have disappeared off the face of the earth, although he was supposedly sighted in Leeds. He has developed a huge fanbase in the gay community and his films are now being sought after, pity that he doesn't let people know what life is doing for him now.

I'm not surprised - there are an awful lot of pictures of him in the nude on the Net! He's quoted on IMDb as saying: "The sex movies ruined my career. But you know how it is, I was out of work, the birds were smashing, and I've always been a born flasher."



I remember him in Crossroads and The Beast In The Cellar.

I was contacted by someone called derek saying that John was still around, seems a bit strange that for someone who was such an extrovert to have ended up a recluse. His last know public appearance was at a Crossroads get together, when he appeared in good spirits. if anyone has any info I would be very appreciative at ###
