Denholm Elliott

OK apparently there was an older thread on Denholm - the merge is great - he's pretty well known here in the States not just for his appearances in "Indiana Jones" either. Like many other well known British actors of yesteryear I've been familiar with his name since I was a kid.

Denholm was superb in Alfred Hitchcock Presents "The Crocodile Case." He screws up pretty badly at the end, giving himself away as the murderer but he had a knack for those sleazy roles. He is also in the "left handed actors" category, most likely due to his having lost part of the thumb on his right hand as a youth.

Denholm Elliott was in two films with Dirk Bogarde. The High Bright Sun and They Who Dare. A really underated actor I think. Funny thing is, I always get him and Trevor Howard mixed up, why, I don't know? They don't even look alike.

Perhaps you've seen The Heart of the Matter a few times too many? :)
