Guess I should have rephrased my original statement. I'm familiar with the four plays you mentioned that Torin appeared in (I remember asking on the forum if anyone knows if kinescopes of those shows exist) but were there any other British television shows that he appeared in throughout the 1940's. I know he was away during the war a lot in the 1940's, being in the Caribbean and Egypt. IMDB doesn't have any information on tv shows he may have appeared in, in England and I'm curious to know if he did appear in any.

Well, there won't be any missing tv listings during the war...Judging from IMDB, he was in the US from 1950 onwards so the chances of there being any surviving British tv with him, is about a zillion to one I'd have thought.

That's what I gathered, and yes he moved to the USA in 1950 (probably became naturalized like his RADA colleague Charles Laughton did and I was actually able to look up his SSN on the US Death Index) and stayed here. Of course I am happy Torin decided to make America his new home. I think of his non-acting work like the "Just the Facts: The United States Constitution and Bill of Rights" documentary he made and think, it's men like him who made this nation
