He's not very Canadian. He was born in Yorkshire. His family moved to Canada when he was very small. But only for a few years. I can't see any sign that he became Canadian

There is a Canadian footballer called Tom Wilkinson.
I think that's where the confusion comes from (especially since actor-Tom did live for a few years there as a child).
Our Tom is a Brit.
Don't forget Doulas Fairbanks, Jr., who never pretended to be English, but looked and sounded more British than a Londoner-born, and most people would have thought, listening to him, that he was English. His prejudices were very pro-British.

I love articles like that where they pose a problem that nobody's concerned about and then ignore all the obvious answers to the questions they pose
